A 52-year-old Slovenian doctor was eaten alive by his three dogs on Tuesday. But the sequences of events casts a doubt on who’s who’s best friend and who’s dumber.
The man owned three bullmastiffs. Four years ago, the dogs attacked and seriously injured a passer-by and were taken into custody. As if that was not enough, the dogs then attacked one of the dog handlers, prompting the authorities to put the three animals down.
Undeterred, the owner fought in court to get his dogs back, arguing that they posed no threat. Once released, the dogs attacked and killed their master in his garden.
The three dogs were finally put down.
