A 2-year-old boy with stomach pains was taken to the hospital in the city of Barreiras, Brazil on Sunday.

Stunned doctors discovered 50 sewing needles inside his body, including some in his arms and legs, 17 is his digestive system, and one that had perforated his lung. Doctors say the needles were inserted through the skin deliberately and not swallowed, otherwise they would all be in his digestive tract. They do not fear for the boy’s life.

His mother, Marma Souza Santos, has no idea how this happened. The stepfather is suspected of having used the boy in a black magic ritual.

With a family like this, who needs ennemies?

shootersChen Lusheng, 38, a Shenzhen police officer, drank himself to death at an official dinner.

Encouraged by the hosts asking him in turns to “gan bei”, he drank until he vomited. He was later found lying lifeless with a purple face on a sofa.

Authorities declared him a martyr so his family could receive a larger compensation for dying in the line of duty.

Official banquets have become a tradition in China, where $90 million in public funds is spent every year.

In July, a village party secretary in eastern China died in a similar fashion. In November, it was the turn of a water resource official in the central part of the country.

Lisa and Paul HesseyLisa Hessey, worried because her 2-year-old son Zak was refusing to eat and was no longer gaining weight, brought him to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Doctors told the parents to feed Zak with chips and chocolate, but the mother refused, prefering a healthy diet over junk food.

Social services took Zak away to a foster family in order to force the child to undertake the questionable diet. His parents were able to get their son back after a 4-month battle.

Social services admitted that the kid’s fussy eating continued during that period, and that maybe they were good parents after all.

chewing gum bubbleRelatives of the 25-year-old chemistry student heard a loud pop. They ran upstairs their Konotop home and discovered his body. The lower part of his face was missing.

Investigators also found bowls containing two substances near the body. One contained citric acid, in which the student had the habit of dipping his chewing gum. The other one contained an unidentified explosive substance, which was also found on his chewing gum.

Investigators believe he had dipped his chewing gum into the wrong bowl by mistake.
