Man tries to break into Oregon jail

7.6

fence at sunsetA man tried to climb over a fence and break into the Jackson County Jail in Medford, Oregon. Inmates usually try to cross this fence the other way.

Police officers spotted a man attempting to climb the fence around 4 AM on Monday and arrested him.

The 28-year-old man, who was intoxicated with alcohol and marijuana at the time, said he had been denied help at the front door, so he was trying the back door.

It appears the man was knocking at the wrong door after all, as the court sent him to a mental institution.
