Lisa Hessey, worried because her 2-year-old son Zak was refusing to eat and was no longer gaining weight, brought him to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Doctors told the parents to feed Zak with chips and chocolate, but the mother refused, prefering a healthy diet over junk food.
Social services took Zak away to a foster family in order to force the child to undertake the questionable diet. His parents were able to get their son back after a 4-month battle.
Social services admitted that the kid’s fussy eating continued during that period, and that maybe they were good parents after all.
